Save the date! Leeds Girls Can have a jam-packed day of celebrations planned for International Women’s Day on Saturday 5 March at the Royal Armouries Plaza from 12pm to 3pm.
The theme for 2022 is #Breakthebias
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.

From yoga to roller skating, table tennis to swimming, buggy walks to climbing walls, there will be a variety of FREE taster sessions on offer for guests. In addition, there will also be a 5km guided fun run and artists from the local community. As part of the celebration they will be giving away tote bags designed by a local female artist (Molly Pukes @MollyPukes) and North Star Café will have discounts on beverages during the event.

Leeds Girls Can is part of the national This Girl Can campaign developed by Sport England together with a range of partners to encourage women to take part in sport. They want the women of Leeds to run, roll, move, pedal, swim and shoot for the netball hoop. If you want to try a new sport or get back into a sport that you previously loved now is the time!
