Did you know that as Leeds Conservatoire students you can access a vast collection of music magazines online?
You can use these to find references, for further reading, or even to discover a new interest through the breadth of resources available.
The musician in me can’t resist reading the BBC Music Magazine. They have articles about all sorts of music – recommending new and varied composers, music from different locations, as well as articles about building collections of music.
Also within the library’s catalogue is Jazz Wise – an excellent magazine (surprisingly) all about the world of jazz. I would 100% recommend reading the Dec 2021 – Jan 2022 edition, particularly its cover feature about the legendary guitarist Pat Metheny and how he hopes to encourage the next generation of jazz musicians.
