Resonance Sharing 3: Ni Maxine
Ni’s sharing will be taking place on Friday 24 March at 3pm in the Linacre Studio at the Howard Opera Centre.
Here’s a link to what Ni did at Sage Gateshead last year and a bit more about her project below:Ni comes to Resonance fresh from a Summer Studios residency at Sage Gateshead, where she first developed “The Life Movement” after working on a piece which formed “a satirical response to the label that society places on women of colour”. She plans to extend “The Life Movement” during her residency in an evocative and honest exploration of the trauma and vulnerability felt by generations of black women in their search to be more widely accepted, embraced and understood, both by other people and by themselves
