International Women’s Day W/ Zay & Laura Kindelan

#OportoTV in association with Bloom Sessions & Girls Can Play Guitar bring you a day of celebrations for International Women’s Day on Monday March 8th.
There will be music, art, stories and more shared throughout the day, with a live music finale filmed at Oporto for you to safely enjoy at home featuring:
Laura Kindelan – Laura Kindelan is building a reputation for herself as a “precocious, natural talent”,
with her sultry yet sincere take on contemporary soul. Drawing Influence from artists such as Lianne La Havas and Hiatus Kaiyote, Laura’s solo sound is characterised by moments of juxtaposition, jazz harmony and intricate guitar parts following her raw, intimate vocal. 2021 is expected to be a big year for Laura, with exciting releases on the horizon. Her captivating music and presence is not one to miss & this special set features some special guests too!
Zay – Yemeni-Saudi-British singer and songwriter and self-taught guitarist and ukulele player. With encouragement from her parents, the 23-year-old artist started writing at the age of 7. She uploaded her first Youtube video on her 13th birthday singing an original French song called L’Opposé. The video hit over 200.000 views. Due to Zay’s international upbringing, she writes and sings in Arabic, English, French, German and Spanish and will be sharing songs with us in multiple languages.
