Sippin’ Whisky with Laura Kindelan

Laura Kindelan writes and performs a blend of genres which results in a beautiful, soulful sound that is unique to her. Her compositions, which are guided by intricate guitar parts and truthful, folkstyle lyrics are accompanied by her natural, relaxed and audience-pleasing style. Her talents have been recognised most recently on BBC Introducing, Staxtonbury Festival’s Main Stage and by the likes of Billie Marten whom Laura supported in July.

Join Laura on this special night, celebrating the release of her new and highly anticipated single, ‘Sippin’ Whisky’. Laura will take you on a musical journey from her upbeat and classic ‘Dreamchaser’ to her “achingly, stunningly beautiful” ‘Sweet Tooth’.

Laura will be joined by special guest Zak Ford who is an extremely well-respected local York artist. Zak’s honest, wholehearted vocals and harmonious chords demonstrate his vast musical influences which range from Soul to Americana. Comparisons have been drawn to other talented artists such as Glen Hansard, Dallas Green & Ben Howard. Zak’s sound is unique and brings a fresh twist to the table that definitely needs to be seen.

“Laura evokes what might have been had Jeff Buckley been female. This girl has so much soul in her voice and also a magnificently chilled and carefree style. She also has some great songs, “Sweet Tooth” is achingly, stunningly beautiful and I love it.” – Bill Adamson, With Just A Hint Of Mayhem
